For the angler, Ardifuir has five miles of double bank salmon and trout fishing on the River Add. Allegedly navigated by St Columba more than 1400 years ago, the Add meanders over some of Poltalloch’s low ground and round the base of Dunadd, where Scotland’s ancient kings were inaugurated.

July – September are historically the most productive months. As an alternative there is a local angling club and access to many hill lochs for brown trout.

Sea fishing, and especially skate, has recently witnessed a renaissance in local waters. Charter boats run on a daily basis and we’d be happy to arrange this for guests.
